Sindh HEC Launches Blockchain Scholarship Program for University Students

The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) has introduced a scholarship-based blockchain training program aimed at helping university students develop skills in emerging digital technologies.

The initiative, launched through SHEC’s Directorate of Strategic Planning, will provide students with practical training in blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.

Students to Receive 85% Scholarship

Under the Sindh Blockchain Skills Development Initiative, selected participants will receive:

This reduces the student contribution to:

💰 Rs. 5,000

instead of the full program cost of:

💰 Rs. 33,300

The subsidy is intended to make advanced technology training more accessible to students across Sindh.

160 Students Will Be Selected

According to the program details, the initiative will accommodate:

👨‍🎓 160 university students

from different regions of Sindh.

The program focuses on industry-relevant skills that are increasingly in demand in technology, fintech, and digital innovation sectors.

Partner Universities

SHEC has selected four universities as partner institutions for the program:

  • NED University of Engineering and Technology
  • Institute of Business Administration Karachi
  • Mehran University of Engineering and Technology
  • Sukkur IBA University

These institutions will support the delivery of training and student participation.

The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical components, covering:
