The Education Authority Lahore has intensified its campaign against unregistered private educational institutions by deciding to seal 213 more schools that have failed to complete the mandatory registration process.
The latest action follows the recent sealing of 30 private schools for non-compliance with provincial regulations.
Crackdown on Unregistered Schools Continues
According to education officials, a summary has been forwarded to the district administration requesting action against the identified schools.
Authorities say the campaign is part of an ongoing effort to ensure that all private educational institutions operate in accordance with Punjab’s registration requirements.
744 Schools Issued Final Notices
CEO Education Lahore Tariq Mahmood said that 744 private schools had previously been issued final notices directing them to complete their registration.
Schools that continue to ignore the directives now face legal action, including closure.
Officials have stated that the enforcement drive will continue until all institutions comply with the prescribed regulations.
Schools Identified for Action
Among the institutions identified for action are:
- Little Scholar School System
- Peak School
- New Horizon School
- Wisdom Grammar School
- City Grammar School
- Mujahid Grammar School
- Tariq Public School
- Khawaja Saeed Model School
- The Smart School
Authorities indicated that additional non-compliant schools may also face similar action.
Registration Mandatory for Private Schools
The Education Authority reiterated that registration is compulsory for all private educational institutions operating in Lahore.
Officials warned that enforcement measures will continue without discrimination, and schools failing to meet legal requirements will face action under the applicable education regulations.
