The Punjab Public Service Commission will introduce mandatory biometric verification for candidates appearing in its written examinations, beginning with the Deputy Accountant recruitment test scheduled for July 25 and 26, 2026.
More than 60,000 candidates are expected to take the exam. Each candidate will have to complete biometric verification at the examination centre before being allowed to enter the test hall.
System Aims to Prevent Impersonation
PPSC Secretary Afzal Ahmed said the new system is intended to improve the security, transparency and credibility of the recruitment process.
Biometric checks will help officials confirm candidates’ identities and prevent impersonation during written examinations.
The Deputy Accountant test will be the first PPSC written exam conducted under the new verification process. The commission plans to gradually extend biometric checks to other large-scale examinations.
Candidates should arrive at their assigned centres on time and carry their original CNIC and admission letter to avoid delays during verification.
